Your FAQs Answered
GENERAL INFO
Can I change my order after placing it?
If you suddenly have a change of heart over the delicious classic cocktails you would like to get your hands on, simply drop us a message, and we'll try our best to accommodate you. Please note that we will not be able to amend orders once they have been shipped.
Why do some flavours show as out of stock?
We try our very best to source the best ingredients possible all year round; however, we can encounter temporary shortages of certain ingredients from time to time, depending on the season. Some of our smoothie flavours may show as out of stock if we are unable to source any of our ingredients, but as soon as we are able to get our hands on them, they will become available again.
Where do you source your ingredients from?
We aim to use as much as we can from local sources, but if that's not possible, then we will reach out across the world to sustainable suppliers!
PRODUCT INFO
Do ShakaCan cocktails contain allergens?
We have engineered our recipes to be free of all 14 EU-listed major allergens, such as gluten, nuts and seafood. Please contact us at cheers@shakacan.com regarding allergies that fall outside of the EU Major Allergens list.
What is the shelf life of ShakaCan cocktails?
ShakaCan cocktails are designed and conditioned to stay fresh for at least a year, provided they are stored in a cool, dry place and are not subjected to sudden temperature changes.
What is the alcohol content of ShakaCan cocktails?
Most of our cocktails are 20% ABV, but some may vary. Please check the ABV listed on each cocktail.
Do I need to store my ShakaCan cocktails in the fridge?
No! Because they are chilled when shaken over ice prior to serving, ShakaCan cocktails do not require chilling or storing in the fridge before use. Please store your ShakaCan cocktails at room temperature in your pantry or cupboard - somewhere cool, dry, and not subject to sudden temperature shifts.
Are there artificial flavours or preservatives in ShakaCan cocktails?
There are no artificial flavours in our drinks. We do use potassium sorbate in our drinks to ensure they stay fresh and safe by preventing the growth of mold, yeast, and bacteria. This preservative extends the shelf life and maintains the natural flavour and quality of our drinks. Approved by food safety authorities, potassium sorbate is used in small, safe amounts to provide you with a high-quality product you can trust. For the same reason, our vegan foaming agents likewise contain small amounts of sodium benzoate.
Can I freeze my ShakaCan cocktail to make a slushy version?
We are working on some exciting developments in this space, but for now, if you would like to make a frozen cocktail using ShakaCan, we recommend pouring a cocktail into a suitable blender with a few blocks of ice and blending.
PRODUCT CARE
How do you clean the ShakerCan?
The ShakerCan can be easily disassembled into its 4 components: the stainless steel Cap, the Strainer, the ClickRing and the silicone Sealer. Everything is dishwasher safe (any rack and temperature), but can also be hand-washed if preferred.
Why is there a small gap between the Cap and ClickRing?
Because we've designed the ShakerCan's parts with different materials, they each react differently to changes in temperature. Sometimes, if you wash a ShakerCan immediately after shaking a drink with the cap still on, it can get stuck due to the thermal shock. The gap allows you to wedge the cap free using a spoon if this happens.
How do you properly fasten the ShakerCan to a can?
The ShakerCan has a locking mechanism made up of 'teeth' on the strainer and 'grooves' on the ClickRing. When the ClickRing is turned clockwise, its grooves will lock the teeth in place on the can's rim, securing the ShakerCan. To release the ShakerCan, simply turn the ClickRing counter-clockwise - it's righty-tighty / lefty-loosey!
