BACKGROUND: The Pornstar Martini was created in the early 2000s by Douglas Ankrah and was initially named the Maverick Martini. Douglas named the drink after a gentlemen’s club in Cape Town called Maverick’s and later went on to call the drink the Pornstar Martini at his London bars, Townhouse and LAB.
